Atelier CRM — one dashboard for a real estate business.
A custom CRM that gives real estate agents a single view of their clients, listings, deal pipeline, commissions and calendar — built in-app as "Ledger."
What we built and why.
Atelier CRM is a purpose-built operations dashboard for a real estate business, deployed in-app under the name "Ledger." Instead of stitching together spreadsheets, a generic CRM and a separate calendar app, the agent gets one system that covers the entire day-to-day: clients, active listings, deal pipeline, commissions, expenses and scheduling.
The dashboard opens on a business-at-a-glance view — client and listing counts, open pipeline deals, upcoming calendar items, open to-dos, and running commission and expense totals for the year — so the agent can see the state of their business the moment they log in.
Beyond the dashboard, the CRM breaks clients down by region and type (buyers, renters, sellers), tracks commission by closed deal and referral, and gives a full calendar built around real estate-specific event types.
At a Glance
What success needed to look like.
Give a real estate agent one place to run their business — clients, listings, deals, money and schedule — instead of splitting that work across spreadsheets, a generic CRM and a separate calendar tool. The system needed to surface the health of the business at a glance, not just store records.
What made this hard.
Real estate isn't generic CRM
Off-the-shelf CRMs aren't built around listings, commissions and closing timelines — the data model had to reflect how a real estate business actually operates.
Money needed to be exact
Commission and expense tracking needed to reconcile cleanly — gross vs. net commission, referrals, and spend by category — with numbers the agent could trust.
One dashboard, many moving parts
Clients, listings, pipeline, calendar, to-dos, commissions and expenses all needed to live in one coherent view without feeling cluttered.
How we approached it.
We designed the data model around real estate workflows first — clients tagged as buyers, renters or sellers and grouped by region; listings tracked by status; deals moving through a pipeline; and commission broken out into closed deals, referrals, gross and net. The dashboard then became a summary layer on top of that model, not the other way around.
UX / UI Approach
A clean, light operations dashboard with card-based summaries up top and detail tables below, so the agent gets a fast read on the business before drilling into specifics.
Data Model
Clients, listings, pipeline deals, commissions and expenses modeled as connected records, so a closed deal automatically rolls up into the commission and dashboard totals.
Real-Estate-Specific Calendar
Eight built-in event types — showings, meetings, closings, follow-ups, open houses, personal, house anniversaries and client birthdays — with month and week views.
What the product actually does.
- Business-at-a-glance dashboard covering clients, listings, pipeline, calendar, to-dos, commission and expenses
- Client management with segmentation by type (buyer / renter / seller) and region
- Deal pipeline tracking from open to closed
- Commission tracking — closed deals, outgoing referrals, total dollar volume, gross and net commission
- Expense tracking broken out by category (agents, stagers, gifts, general, donations)
- Full calendar with 8 real-estate-specific, color-coded event types and month/week views
- To-Do task management with priority flags
